ABOUT

Astellamelu is a workshop located in Portugal - Lisbon. The main material is the porcelain from Limoges - France. After receiving the material, all manufacturing of the porcelain is made at the workshop Astellamelu. From the mixture of porcelain with oxides and chemicals, to the glazing and finishing. The porcelain goes to a very high temperature to be strong, shiny and light.Each piece is handmade by the designer Désirée Mélusine. She creates the collection, makes the samples and the production of each one. All the colors in the porcelain are unique and developped at Astellamelu.Astellamelu's products are not a simple jewelry, they are unique and one-of-a-kind. It's a limited production and due to the fact that each one is handmade by the designer, they will never be identical, but similar. It's something precious, and made with care and attention.Take a look at the products and enjoy the beauty of them!
The designer

...Désirée Mélusine

At age 18, her curiosity let her to a jewelry design program and immediately after finishing it, she created her own collection. The success of her first sales led her to sell the products at places such as Mercado Mundo Mix, in Sao Paulo, and boutiques of the well-known district of Jardim Paulista.During her studies in Product Design School of Sao Paulos Fine Arts Academy (Belas Artes) , she developed a line of bikinis sold at boutiques in Sao Paulo, hotel chains in Cancun, Mexico, and selected boutiques in the US. She interned at the University of Sao Paulo's Institute for Technological Research (IPT) package sector. She also acted as teacher assistant for prototype design classes in the Product Design School of Sao Paulos Fine Arts Academy (Belas Artes). These conditions are agreed between astellamelu (represented by Désirée Melusine Mostajo V. Blanchard, NIF: 262608529, situated in Rua da Esperança n.85 r/c, Lisbon, Portugal 1200-656) and the client (end-user, resellers,agents and commercial representative) who wish to make a purchase through the Website www.astellamelu.com, order form via email or document. The parties agree that their relations will be exclusively governed by this contract.Astellamelu undertakes to comply with all applicable laws on distance selling and e-commerce, according to Decree-Law 143/2001 ( Portuguese law), as well as other legal provisions that apply to this business. OBJECTIVE The general conditions presented, are intended to define the procedure of sale between astellamelu and the client, specifying the order form, services, payment and delivery. These conditions represent all steps necessary to accomplish the order and ensure the follow-up of this order between the parties. PRODUCT The photos on the website and from the catalog are the most faithful to the final product. Due to the fact that the products are hand-crafted piece, they will never be identical but always very similar.PRODUCT CARE Although the product is handmade, some care is required to ensure quality and durability: - Do not leave or use the product on a pigmented surface that releases ink.- Do not wet the piece. - After the use, wipe gently the piece to remove any sweat, dirt or grease generated during use.- Store in a dry place. - Handle the piece always with care and attention. - Don't put the perfum close to the necklace.ORDER FORM The customer can order through: - Shop online: end-user - Catalogue: exclusively for resellers, agents and commercial representatives - By e-mail (astellamelu_gmail.com) - indicating the references and quantities of products for stores without representatives in their city.- Document By submitting the order form the customer accepts the price and description of products available for sale as well as the general conditions of sale. Once we receive the email with the proof of purchase from the buyer, astellamelu will process the order and send an email confirming the receipt of order and the day of the shipment. In the absence of the product or rupture of stock, the customer will be informed as soon as possible and will be able to receive the money back or cancellation of the order.PRICES The prices of all products are available in euros. The prices shown in the catalog sent to resellers, agents and comercial representatives are without VAT and in the online store for end-users, the prices include VAT.RETURNS Astellamelu accept exchanges or returns of items if the product reaches to the customer damaged or defective. In this case, the client has to report the situation via email within 5 days of receipt of the product and await our instructions to process their return. CANCELLATION OF ORDER -For end-users, cancellation may be performed within 24 hours after purchase. After this period the money will not be returned and the piece will be sent. -For resellers, stores, agents and comercial representatives once sent a purchase order, the cancellation may be performed within: -2 days for a delivery in 10 days. -5 days for a delivery in 20 days. -7 days for a delivery in 30 days. -10 days for a delivery in 45 days or more.-15 days for a delivery more than 45 daysThe cancellation by the reseller, store, agents and comercial representatives after the stipulated period, implies the payment of compensation of 30% of the total order value, which must be paid at the time of cancellation by the company/store that made the order. SHIPPING ORDER All orders are sent through the post office (CTT), or delivery companies such as DHL, MRW, FEDEX, etc, with tracking number and a request of signature upon receipt of the order to the address confirmed by the client. The customer will receive an email with the track number and a confirmation that the package was sent.Once sent the email with shipping confirmation and tracking number, astellamelu will be not responsible for late delivery of the package.The shipment is paid by the customer, unless exceptions pre-agreed and confirmed by email between the customer and astellamelu. PROOF All communication conducted via email, saved in the computer system of astellamelu and from its customers, will be considered as a proof of communications, orders and payments made between the parties. LAW AND JURISDICTION These conditions of sale, constitute the entire agreement between the customer and astellamelu. The conditions of this contract is applicable to the Portuguese law. In case of dispute, and the absence of agreement between the parties, the case will be submitted to the competent courts of Portugal. PRODUCT IMAGES The photos on the website and the catalog are property of astellamelu.
